How Does The Magic of Reading Fairy Work?
Part of the WOW family of award-winning classes, Reading Fairy is for babies, toddlers and pre-school children aged 1-5 and lays the foundations for early reading and a lifelong love of books. Classes are 45 minutes long and run throughout the year. Whether your little one is quiet and shy or bursting with energy, Reading Fairy classes have something that you both will enjoy.


Reading Fairy Grows With Your Child
Written by early reading experts, classes are divided into different stages linked to your child’s age and development. Reading Fairy Crawley Region currently offers the following classes:

Toddler Tales  (toddler classes from age 12 months);
Story Stars (pre-school classes from age 2 years);
Reading Recruits  (from age 3 years; perfect for those in pre-school or soon to be starting Reception).

We believe in learning through play. We use props, puppets, bubbles, musical instruments and more, to engage and delight children as they share stories and develop early reading skills at their own pace.


Reading Fairy’s Unique Characters Support Your Child’s Learning
Five fun characters teach your child new skills in story-telling, early phonics, nursery rhymes, speaking and listening, and picture book time.

Reading Fairy loves stories and story-telling.
Phonic Fox uses phonics to teach children links between letters and sounds.
Music Mouse sings nursery rhymes which are vital in developing early oral and literacy skills.
Chat Cat develops children’s speaking, listening and communication skills.
Book Bear shares a picture book with the children in every class inspiring a love of reading.

Each 45 minute session brings Reading Fairy and her character friends to life with original songs, dances and games. Each session ends with a snuggle up with Book Bear and a story to share with grown-ups and children alike.
