Get Set For Nursery

A short summer holiday course comprising 5 x 45 minute sessions to help your child prepare for starting or returning to nursery. · Created by experts, Get Set for Nursery supports a confident and happy start to nursery. · Phonic Fox introduces all the initial phonemes (letter sounds) from a-z with top tips for parents/carers to help your child’s reading at home. · Topics covered include: phonics and early reading, speaking and listening, nursery routines, getting dressed, tidying up, counting, time, colours, patterns, creative play, storytelling, book sharing and more! · Created by experts, our unique Reading Fairy Activity Workbook embeds opportunities to practise skills and record learning through the course. · Your child won’t even know they are learning as they read, sing, talk and play with our lovable characters: Reading Fairy, Phonic Fox, Music Mouse, Chat Cat and Book Bear. Get Set For School

A short summer holiday course comprising 5 x 45 minute sessions to help your child prepare for their first year at school. (Children in Reception/P1 can benefit from this course following the impact of Covid-19 lockdown.) · Supports a confident start to all school phonics reading programmes and the wider early years curriculum. · Explores everything you and your child need for starting school from practicalities such as recognizing your name and getting dressed to managing feelings and staying healthy (e.g. washing hands). · Lovable characters (from Phonic Fox to Book Bear) scaffold action-packed classes to ensure your child is fully engaged as they sing, read, perform and play their way to learning key skills for literacy and the wider early years curriculum. · Reading and wider literacy skills include: phonics, comprehension, storytelling, language development, communication and nurturing a love of books for enjoyment and knowledge. · Information and practical ideas for parents and carers help you support your child’s literacy and learning at home. · Created by experts, our unique Reading Fairy Activity Workbook embeds opportunities to practise skills and record learning through the course.
