At Reading Fairy, your child will be given a gentle introduction to phonics and explore a huge variety of picture books to nurture their love of reading in the years leading up to school. We use an array of sensory props and puppets to bring words and stories to life and everything we do is backed up by research conducted by early years reading experts, Emily and Charlotte, founders of Reading Fairy.
You can expect themes such as Weather and Seasons, Mini Beasts, Dinosaurs and Night and Day. Our 30 minute classes explore a phoneme of the week, a sensory or performance story, nursery rhymes, snuggle down time with a picture book and a range of unique Reading Fairy songs designed to help children with their pronunciation of different sounds.
At Reading Fairy, we believe in learning through play and nurturing a love of reading. We use fun props to engage and delight your child.
We work with leading organisations to run storytelling and picture book events for reading and literacy charities, libraries, publishing houses and educational establishments to support children’s reading. And Reading Fairy parties are a great way to celebrate birthdays and special occasions too
Each Reading Fairy class leader is trained in Early Year's reading techniques and can help prepare your little one for nursery, school and beyond. Our aim is to develop a love of reading in children which lasts a life time!
Our classes are strictly limited to 10 participants so that each child gets the attention and time they need to process the material. If our classes show as full on the waiting list then please do join as we often assess the need to open more classes if we need to. We will then contact you as soon as a place becomes available. Our classes do follow a structure throughout the year, but you can join at any point in the year.
